It is truly amazing to serve a God who is able. It blows my mind every single time that God is able to work a miracle in my life and I am in awe of the way He is able to put plans in place long before I even begin to see the end results.
I serve a God who has the ability to go above and beyond my highest expectations, in spite of me being a lowly, unworthy sinner. He is able to do great things with my life, which I like to express by not only thanking him, but singing along to the joyous He’s Able by Deitrick Hatton.
This is a song that I fell in love with the first time that I heard it, which makes it pretty special in my estimations. It is a song that combines heartfelt and relatable words with upbeat music that in no way overshadows those words.
The main body of the song is made up of the lyrics: “God is able to do just what He said He would do / He’s gonna fulfill every promise to you / Don’t give up on God / ‘Cause He won’t give up on you / He’s able”. Just looking at these words and taking the time to meditate upon them has an effect on me, because they are so powerful and true.
I remember being in an emotional state when I first heard this song as I struggled through some predicaments in my life. This song had quite a deep effect on me and a big smile lit up my face, as I sat clapping along and declaring that my God is able.
The lyrics, “Don’t give up on God / ‘Cause He won’t give up on you” resonate strongly with me, because no matter what I’ve done or what I’ve struggled with, my God has stuck by me and he has never, ever given up on me. I love when those words remind of that fact, because it means more to me than anything in this world.
I also know that God will fulfill all His promises, because He is a God of His word and He has never let me down before. There are times when I have felt that God had let me down, but I know that He was steering me down the right path after I had started going down the wrong one. And I know that He will always be there for me, waiting to steer me back in the right direction.
This is a wonderful song that never fails to bring a smile to my face, but it can also bring me to tears if I meditate on the great work God has done in my life. He’s Able is one of my many testimonies, but I am sure that it is the testimony of so many others. These simple words are extremely relatable and they can bring hope to so many lives.
God is able and I love Him so much for that, because it means that He is able to work His power in our lives. I know that I am nothing without Christ and I would rather be nothing if I could not have Him. I am exceedingly glad that He never gave up on me and it makes me glad that He will never give up on any of you.
