Show Support to The Complete Freedom of Truth

The Complete Freedom of Truth is a special project that has done so much for me; more than I could ever have envisioned. It has also made a real impact in the lives of the many of the beautiful friends I’ve made.

However, we need your support for the next phase, as we travel to Italy to continue to create change through art and learn more about the policies effecting us.

A simple £5 pledge would mean a whole lot and help us towards reaching our target. So please pledge and even if you don’t, please take the time to share this campaign.

You’re doing a great thing for many young people in Europe, so thank you in advance.

Young People Insight

Following the news, it’s become commonplace for us to hear about Brexit, fractured relationships in Europe, Trump wanting to ban immigrants from the USA and many other examples of conflicts throughout the world.

We live in a world and a society overrun with conflict and struggles to live together peacefully – harmony seems like an impossibility.  This makes it all the more important for initiatives and exchanges to take place, which will bring individuals from different aspects of life and different parts of the world together.

This is exactly what The Complete Freedom of Truth (TCFT) does.  You will have seen me write posts about TCFT before on this blog, as I have been blessed enough to take part in the project over the past few years.

TCFT is a five-year project which aims to “develop global youth citizenship through culture and the arts”.  Time spent embracing creativity, as well…

Happy Birthday Young People Insight

This month, the youth platform I started, Young People Insight, turned a year old. I can’t believe how fast a year has gone and what I’ve been able to achieve, although they don’t always seem like major achievements to me.

I’m proud of what I started and I hope it continues to grow, empowering the voices of young people and having a positive impact on their lives. This poem is simply a reflection of where my creative baby started from, as I say Happy Birthday to Young People Insight.

Young People Insight

My baby;

Born out of a time of confusion,

Searching for fulfillment,

Something better,

More special than I imagined

Came along.

Not what I planned,

Or expected,

It hit me by surprise;

But I knew I had to nurture it,

Feed it,

Give attention to it;

Although I didn’t ask for it,

Hadn’t planned for it,

I knew I wanted it,

Grew to love it;

In spite of the uncertainty,

Asking,

How would I do this?

Help and advice would be a necessity

For every step of this journey;

I knew I could do it.

So I took the first step,

Second step forward,

Bringing my baby to life;

Watching it develop,

Month after month,

More insight coming to mind.

Now my baby

Has turned a year old,

I can’t believe the first birthday is here;

Directions have changed,

Thought processes become clear

And new people in my life I’ve…

Being Inspired by Young Talent

For me, there is nothing more inspiring than other young people doing great things and making their dreams a reality. There are so many young individuals tapping into their full potential and embracing their brilliance, but it saddens me – no, it angers me – that not enough of it is being highlighted.

We need to make sure that all of the positive things young people are doing is spoken about in the media, rather than focusing on all of the negative.

These are just some of the amazing young people who have been inspiring me recently, and I can’t wait to see what more there is to come from them.

Young People Insight

Young people are regularly villainized by the media and it sickens me.  You can be sure that the wrongs committed by youth will be reported, but the good things they are doing are often kept under the radar.  Don’t you find yourself asking why that is?

I feel privileged to know some truly amazing and talented young people, who are doing great things and inspire me.  Unfortunately, not enough noise is being made about them, when everyone should know their names, because they are going to play a part in changing the world and taking it by storm.

dsc_1074On Wednesday 26th October, I was fortunate enough to be one of the people invited to attend 140 BPM, an exhibition celebrating grime music and culture through fine art.  The exhibition was organised and created by 19-year-old Sophia Tassew, an art director at FCB Inferno.

I was lucky enough to…
